The Office Jerk: privacy policy
In short: we collect nothing about you. Your progress is saved only on your own device. The website has no ads. The phone apps show ads from Google AdMob, which uses some device information to show them (see "Ads in the phone apps" below). We ask Google for non-personalised, general-audience ads only.
What the game stores today
- Your career save (floor, stars, scores, your office team) and your sound settings. These are kept in your browser or the app's storage on your device. We never see them. "Start a new career" in the game, or clearing the site's or app's data, deletes them. If your phone backs up its apps (Google or iCloud backup), the app's save is part of that backup, in your own account.
- No accounts, no sign-up, no email, no analytics. Fonts and graphics come with the game. The website loads nothing from other companies and shows no ads.
Ads in the phone apps
- The iPhone and Android apps show a short ad between some workdays (never during one, and none in your first three days), and you can choose to watch an ad for a free boost or an HR rescue.
- Ads come from Google AdMob. To show ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may use your device's advertising ID, IP address and information about the device and the ads you see. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- We don't know anyone's age, so we treat every player as possibly under the age of consent: we ask Google for non-personalised ads only, rated for general audiences. The game never asks for permission to track you across other apps.
- In Europe and the UK, Google's consent form appears first, and an Ad privacy choices button in the game lets you change your answer.
- You can reset or delete your device's advertising ID at any time in your phone's settings.
Our website host
The game is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Like any website, its servers may briefly keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of visit) for security and to keep the site running. We don't use these to identify you. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
Coming later
These features aren't in the game yet. When each one arrives, this policy will be updated before it goes live, and we'll show what's changed.

Children
The game is designed for players aged 13 and up, and isn't in any app store's Kids category. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
- Delete your save at any time with "Start a new career", or by clearing the site's or app's data.
- Ask us anything about your information, or ask us to delete it, at the address below.
